LPQ32 – 3D2N Luang Prabang Tour
Luang Prabang, a perfectly-preserved blend of rustic colonial architecture and gilded monasteries. A quiet and elegant charm pervades this city and the naturally beautiful destinations further afield, from the Bolaven Plateau and the 4,000 Islands to the mysterious Plain of Jars and the lush Mekong scenery apparent throughout the country.
DAY 1 ARRIVE LUANG PRABANG
Arrive in Luang Prabang International Airport.
This is perhaps the best preserved traditional city in Southeast Asia. The tranquility and charm of this town with its splendid natural scenery and cultural sights make it one of the most delightful places to visit in Laos. After check-in hotel, we visit the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun, Wat Sean and the shrine of Wat Mai. We then climb up to the top of Phousi Hill for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa as well as a beautiful sunset view of the city and the Mekong River.
Overnight at Luang Prabang.
DAY 2 LUANG PRABANG – PAK OU CAVES – LUANG PRABANG
Breakfast at hotel.
Today, we enjoy a short guided tour seeing the city’s oldest temple and the magnificent Wat Xieng Thong with its roof sweeping low to the ground, which represent the classical architecture of Luang Prabang temple. Visit the National Museum at the former Royal Palace, which displays a lovely collection of the artifacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture dating from the day of the early kings right through the last sovereign and the central. We then embark on traditional boat upstream on the Mekong River which also gives us a beautiful view of the tranquil countryside as well as an interesting visit to the mysterious of Pak Ou caves, crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes. Along the way, we stop at the village of Ban Xang Hai, where they make the local rice wine. On return, we take a short drive to Ban Xang Khong, well known for its hand weaving & dyeing.

DAY 3 DEPART LUANG PRABANG
The morning is free before transfer to Luang Prabang International Airport for departure. (Breakfast)
